CSKA Moscow drew 1-1 with U.S. side Red...

Fielding an experimental side, CSKA went behind in the 6th minute on Monday when Dane Richards took advantage of some sloppy defending to fire home past stand-in keeper Sergei Chepchugov.

The New Yorkers went into the break ahead, but CSKA"s Czech striker Tomas Necid leveled four minutes after the interval, shooting past Bill Gaudette from close range.

CSKA were without a number of top players, including Serbian star Milos Krasic, a reported target for top sides in Europe. The draw was the former Red Army club"s second in as many pre-season matches, after being held 2-2 by Swiss club Neuchatel Xamax last week.

The Moscow club return to the Russian capital today. CSKA kick off the new Russian season on March 12 with a home match against Urals side Amkar.
