Annette Gerritsen of the Netherlands finished only 0.2 seconds behind the winner to take the silver, while her compatriate Laurine van Reissen won the bronze showing the result of 1 minute 16.72 seconds.

Russia"s Yekaterina Shikhova, Olga Fatkulina, Yekaterina Malysheva and Yekaterina Lobysheva finished in the 11th, 20th, 27th and 28th places respectively.
