Russian bobsledder Irina Skvortsova, seriously...

On November 23, Skvortsova received multiple fractures including to her hips and back when the Russian women"s team tipped over in the sled and stopped, after which the Russian men"s team crashed into them from behind at full speed on a bobsleigh track in Koenigssee.

“Today [January 1] the doctors examined Irina. Everything is okay. New surgery on her right leg is scheduled for tomorrow. Another skin transplantation,” Lyudmila Kozlova said.

Munich doctors had to perform an emergency operation last Monday after a blood clot began to move in Skvortsova"s right leg which received the most serious injuries in the accident. Doctors initially planned to amputate the leg.

On December 29, the sportswoman was brought out of induced coma and spoke for the first time.
