The Russian team is in action again later on Friday, and will hope for a better performance against Switzerland, bottom of the curling table with no wins from three matches.

Russia has won just one of its four curling matches in Vancouver so far, 7-3 against Denmark. The team lost to Germany 9-5 and Britain 10-3.

In other women"s games on Wednesday, China defeated Denmark 11-1 and Britain beat Germany 7-4.
