The American garnered 46.8 points in the first run, securing a victory in the competition. In the second run, the judges scored for White 48.4 points after he performed his new Double McTwist 1260 trick, bringing the U.S. its third gold medal of the day.

Finland"s Peetu Piironen was awarded the silver medal. He was forth after the first run, but managed to soar to second position, garnering 45 points in the second run.

White"s compatriot Scott Lago has taken the bronze.

Switzerland"s Yuri Podladchikov, who had represented Russia at the 2006 Olympics in Turin, is forth with 42.4 points.

Over 5,000 visitors have left comments at www.blog.kremlin.ru, with a total of 14,500 comments published since January 12, when subscribers first had the opportunity to leave their comments on the president"s video posts. In late April, Medvedev also posted his first video blog on the LiveJournal.com website in the form of a social networking community at http://community.livejournal.com/blog_medvedev/, which runs in tandem with his web blog on the Kremlin site. Comments by Internet users are moderated and are not published if they are found to contain abusive or discriminatory language.
