Poland"s Adam Malysz was awarded the silver with the result of 269.4 points, and Gregor Schlierenzauer of Austria will take home the bronze medal scoring 262.2 points.

On the second day of the Olympics, Ammann won the gold after scoring 276.5 points for his 108.0-meter jump in the men"s individual Normal Hill ski jumping event. Malysz took the silver and Schlierenzauer gained the bronze.

Amman won both hills in the 2002 Games in Salt Lake City.
