Three people were killed and five wounded...

The three wounded are in a critical condition after the incident at the ABB plant, that occurred during a shift change when there were up to 50 people at the plant.

The shooter, who has been identified as Timothy Hendron, 51, first opened fire with an assault rifle at the parking lot, and then entered the plant and continued shooting inside.

Herndon, described by his neighbors as a calm and friendly man, and his colleagues had filed a lawsuit against their employer over alleged pension provision violations, and the lawsuit was being considered by a Kansas City court.

An investigation is underway.
